Ambulante, gira de documentales 2007, fue presentado ayer en Morelia por el actor Diego Luna, uno de los creadores del proyecto destinado a la promoción y divulgación del documental como género, que exhibirá en nuestra ciudad más de 30 documentales de diversos países.
Además, también se contó con la presencia de Alejandro Ramírez, presidente de Cinépolis; Elena Fortes, directora de Ambulante; Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas Batel, director del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia, y Pablo Cruz, director de Canana.
El actor arribó a la exclusiva rueda de prensa casi en secreto, y con su desganado estilo señaló que Morelia fue, en la primera edición de la gira, una de las ciudades donde mejor éxito tuvo.
Del 16 al 22 de febrero se exhibirán en Cinépolis Centro más de 30 documentales en diferentes secciones, de las cuales resaltó el actor una destinada para trabajos fílmicos que estuvieron prohibidos durante algún tiempo o en algún país, ya fuera por su ideología o por la forma de tratar algún tema que les hiciera merecedores del veto de proyección.
Al respecto, Diego Luna enfatizó que el proyecto surgió porque inicialmente creyeron que en México podía haber un público deseoso de otro tipo de cine que no fuera el comercial-holliwoodense, sino el cine de arte y el documental, por lo que se animaron a gestar este proyecto que ha superado en mucho las expectativas iniciales.
El actor además, refirió que para el próximo año tienen contemplado llevar un espacio de documentales a la televisión, buscando abarcar «el mayor número de ventanas posibles», pero reconoció que aún no cuentan con la capacidad para esto.
Asimismo, Diego Luna comentó la necesidad que existe de crear un espacio para el documental indígena, aunque dijo que Ambulante sólo es un pequeño espacio como los que deberían existir muchos para proyectar documentales, sin embargo, no cuenta con el tamaño suficiente para mostrar todos los documentales que quisieran.
