
Organizers reported today that Diego Luna, with his first documentary as
director of J.C. Chávez, will be one of the figures invited to
LALIFF (the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival) which will
be carried out from September 12 to 19, 2008. Diego will present his documentary J.C Chávez at the event.
In addition to the movie about the legendary Mexican boxer Julio
César Chávez, Luna will be the principal speaker and tutor of a program
about audio-visual art directed for local young people that aspire to
enter to this way of film production.
The festival will have 10 panels of discussion, one of them dedicated
to the topic of immigration, which also includes a selection of 12
movies dedicated to the topic and presented by Mexico, Peru, Chile,
Argentina, Brazil, Spain and Costa Rica.
