"Estamos trabajando en dos ideas concretas, una de ellas es tipo documental y la otra es una película para llevar a la pantalla la vida tanto de mi padre Mario Moreno, como de su personaje célebre, y la idea es que Diego Luna haga este trabajo", indicó. Todavía no hay fecha, ni siquiera tentativa, no hay argumento definido, estamos acomodando todo porque será una película muy difícil, quién se atreva tendrá que hacer dos personajes, manifestó. "Apenas estamos viendo si Diego Luna quiere hacer el papel, pero no hemos definido nada todavía, ojalá que sí, porque desde el principio se está pensando en él", manifestó. Hace tan sólo unas semanas el Festival Internacional de Cine Contemporáneo de la Ciudad de México (FICCO) había programado 11 películas de Cantinflas, y luego se anunció que por cuestión de los derechos mejor no se haría la exhibición. "No hay una sentencia en mi contra, ni tengo problemas ahora. No sé porqué los del FICCO decidieron declinar el proyecto. Tengo todos los papeles en orden, el testamento que dejó mi papá, tengo todos los registros de derecho de autor", afirmó.
