Actor and now director Diego Luna maintains that during his visit to the Cannes Film Festival he received proposals to take his film JC Chávez to Europe which in Mexico comes to its second weekend with more than 32 thousand spectators. "I'd like to rest, but I will not be able to take a recess. If the movie manages to pass the following test and has viewers, we will think about making more copies, the mystery of the weekend will keep me in agony," the producer of the movie abounded in an interview that speaks about a Mexican sportsman in stardom. The agony, he says, is not only for being the director, but also because we are immersed as distributors and that is very exhausting, "I feel my liver (stomach) is becoming smaller, smaller, smaller."
"It is to put everything on the spit," he declared, "since one normally
as producer gives the movie to a distributor and with that the problems
happen to him, and here everything falls back onto the same people. It

actor y ahora cineasta Diego Luna aseguró que durante su visita al
Festival Internacional de Cine de Cannes recibió propuestas para llevar
su ópera prima “JC Chávez” a Europa, filme que en México llega a su
segundo fin de semana con más de 32 mil espectadores. "Quisiera descansar, pero no podré tomarme un receso. Este fin determinante”, expresó el también productor, quien añadió que está a la espera de saber si lo que viene es un round sin límite de tiempo o un nocaut para el documental “JC Chávez”, el cual se estrenó el pasado 18 de mayo con 60 copias.
“Si la película logra pasar la siguiente prueba y tiene público,
pensaremos en hacer más copias, el misterio del fin de semana me
mantendrá en agonía”, abundó en entrevista el realizador del filme que
habla sobre un deportista mexicano en el estrellato.
La agonía, dijo, no sólo es por ser el director, sino también porque
estamos inmersos como distribuidores y eso es muy desgastante, “siento
cómo el hígado se va haciendo chiquito, chiquito, chiquito”.
Es poner todo en el asador, manifestó, pues uno normalmente como
productor le da la película a un distribuidor y con ello le pasan los
problemas, y aquí todo ha recaído en las mismas personas. Es un negocio
emocionante y distinto, acotó.
Luna indicó que después de lo bien que le fue en Cannes, “una mala
noticia respecto a la cartelera con ‘Chávez’ no la resistiría”, apuntó. |
