“I am thrilled at the idea of sitting down to debate cinema with other members of the jury, and defend a point of view and look for consensus, allies to defend the movies that I like
the most,” declared Luna.
He expressed that he’s come to the festival to present movies three times – Y tu mamá también, Sólo Dios sabe and Búfalo de la noche, but he never had the opportunity to see more films. “You move around trashing, doing interviews or presenting your movie or suffering to know that the jury thinks,” said the actor.
Now he’ll make the most of watching cinema and find interesting directors who are making independent cinema. The panel will evaluate the movies in competition and help select the Grand Award of the Jury, according to the festival’s official page, the biggest of independent film in the United States.
Luna said he will interrupt his vacation to come to the festival, that he's coming to see “an average of two to three movies a day. It’s tough, a 10 day trip to watch cinema.”
The actor has not moved forward with the projects that he will be involved with in 2008. The movie Rudo y Cursi is pending, directed by Carlos Cuarón, where he plays Beto, one of the protagonists along with Toto, played by Gael García Bernal.

"Andas en friega haciendo entrevistas o presentando la tuya o sufriendo para saber que opina el jurado", declaró el actor.
Por lo que ahora aprovechará para ver cine y "encontrar a esos directores interesantes que están haciendo cine" independiente. El panel evaluará las películas en competencia y ayudará a seleccionar el Gran Premio del Jurado, informó la página oficial del festival, el más grande de cine independiente en Estados Unidos.
Luna manifestó que suspenderá el periodo de vacaciones en el que se encuentra para acudir al festival, en el que le espera la tarea de ver "un promedio de dos a tres películas al día. Es fuerte, es un viaje de 10 días a ver cine".
El actor no adelantó los proyectos en los que se involucrará en el 2008, pero está pendiente de salir la película Rudo y Cursi, dirigida por Carlos Cuarón, en la que interpreta a Beto, uno los protagonistas junto a Toto que encarna Gael García Bernal.
