Diego
Luna wants to be a football [soccer] player and Gael García Bernal a
singer, but not any [singer], but one of a musical
group. Actually it is not a question of them but of the characters they
will play in the film Rudo y Cursi, that will be released in
December of this year.The film was written and directed by Alfonso Cuarón [actually, I think this article is wrong and that Carlos Cuarón, Alfonso's brother, wrote and directed this movie], who once again brings these two actors, directors and friends to give form to the film where they will appear as rivals, both for a woman and for a mother.
Gael will play the role of Toto; Diego that of Beto. The story? Two brothers that want “to be someone in life” and that put brotherhood, passion and talent to the test.
Rudo y Cursi was filmed in Cihuatlán, Jalisco and the Federal District. Canana Films, Cha Cha Cha, Guillermo del Toro y Alejandro González Iñárritu collaborated in the movie.
