The Sonora Dynamite will have special participation in Diego Luna and Gael García’s new movie “Rudo y cursi”, according to a bulletin from the artistic agency Apodaca.

In order to shoot this film, the members of The Sonora Dynamite and their representative, Óscar Flores, moved to Cihuatlán, Jalisco, where they recorded scenes where they appear interpreting the songs “El dolor de Micaela” (The pain of Micaela) y “Amor del cielo” The pain of Micaela” (Love of the sky).

This production, that revolves around the world of the football [soccer], is the first one of an agreement between Universal Pictures and Cha Cha Cha Films, managed by Alfonso Cuarón, Alejandro González Iñárritu and Guillermo del Toro. The movie is directed by Carlos Cuarón and with the participation of the Argentinian Guillermo Franchella and Dolores Heredia.

“For Eddy Guerra, director of the Sonora Dynamite, it is a big satisfaction that they have taken them into account to take part in Cuarón’s debut, since that demonstrates that the musical work of the original Colombian group, it contiues being developed to huge steps,” indicates the bulletin.

“During the time that the members of the Sonora Dynamite were working on the filming of the musical, they had the opportunity to live through new experiences and to closely meet the actors of the film, as well as to other personalities like Eugenio Caballero, the art director and winner of the Oscar for his work in “Pan’s Labyrinth,” he adds.

He tells of his life

During the meeting he drank little water, constantly turning towards the public assembled in the Carlos Chávez room of the Cultural University Center and never it proved to be evasive, which usually happens when questioned on his personal life.

“According to my parents, I took my first steps here somewhere, in the corridor next to the Sister Juana (auditorium). That then for me was very long, since I was little.”

For a little more than two hours, the Gudalajara native chatted about cinema, characters and details of his life; only taking a 10 minute break and retouched makeup twice.

“Durante el tiempo que los integrantes de La Sonora Dinamita trabajaron en la filmación de los musicales, tuvieron la oportunidad de vivir nuevas experiencias y conocer de cerca a los actores de la cinta, así como a otras personalidades como Eugenio Caballero, Director de Arte y ganador del Oscar por su trabajo en ‘El laberinto del Fauno’”, agrega.

Cuenta su vida

Risueño y alerta, con unos 60 testigos, Gael García Bernal se abrió de capa y compartió memorias de su infancia durante la grabación del programa “Facultad de Diálogo”, que se transmite por TV UNAM.

“Recuerdo que un chavo me regaló una alcancía de Naranjito, la mascota del Mundial de España 82; me sentía fascinado, porque quería ponerle monedas de esas grandotas, como cuadradas. Yo estaba chavito, las quería meter y no se podía, ¡y claro que no, pues era para pesetas! Mi papá me dijo que eso sería muy significativo para mí, aún no sé por qué, pero sí lo ha sido”, contó el actor a la conductora Lorena Wolffer.

Durante el encuentro, bebió poca agua, volteaba constantemente hacia el público reunido en la sala Carlos Chávez, del Centro Cultural Universitario, y en ningún momento se mostró evasivo, como suele ocurrir cuando se le pregunta sobre su vida personal.

“Según mis padres, por aquí di mis primeros pasos, en el pasillo al lado del (auditorio) Sor Juana. En ese entonces para mí era muy largo, pues estaba rechiquito”.

Durante poco más de dos horas, el tapatío platicó de cine, personajes y detalles de su vida; sólo tomó un receso de 10 minutos y le retocaron el maquillaje dos veces.
