Q: What is your favorite torta (sandwich)? Is it fish (mullet)?
Diego: No, it’s not fish. Any special style of torta? Ahogadas, very spicy.

Torta Ahogada
(a dish from Guadalajara, Mexico) consists of a bolillo,
a common Mexican bread roll, stuffed with fried pork meat (carnitas),
fried beans, onion, sometimes avocado, and smothered in a tomato
sauce. "Ahogada" means "drowned" in Spanish, so the sandwich
is entirely drowned in a hot chili and tomato sauce.
