Pool hustler El Vago (Slick) makes a how-to video on how to play carambola, a form of billiards where only three balls are used. His assistant El Perro (Mutt) is frequently distracted by sexy girlfriend La Pajara, the daughter of El Mexicano who used to own the joint until El Vago won it in a game.

El Vago is an old school billiards man. And though he may hold dear the values of his sport, he is still just a hustler and not much of a businessman. He thinks that owning your own billiards hall just means that he never has to pay to play a table again.

El Perro (played by Luna) is an up and comer who has just convinced El Vago to let him manage the hall. El Perro's got big plans to re-do the place, move in some pool tables, and go hip with a younger, big-spending, coke-snorting crowd. El Vago doesn't count on El Perro's plans for making over the place, first by creating dance nights with colored lights and techno music. It’s an ambitious plan that El Vago winds up bankrolling despite his better judgment. Before you know it, there’s blood on the tiles, drugs in the bathrooms and sex on the tables.

El Perro finally goes too far when he makes a porn video with La Pajara that El Mexicano inevitably sees, leading to some bloody business. The fun climax features a number of actual billiards masters in a championship tournament, layering a documentary-feeling over the thickly nourish tale.
