On Friday March 27th actor Diego Luna will accompany musicians Peter Gabriel and Saul Hernández (from rock band Jaguares), along with WITNESS and their partner in Mexico, the Comisión Mexicana de Defensa y Promoción de los Derechos Humanos (CMDPDH) and Amnesty International, to deliver a petition signed by many people around the world calling for an end to the violence against women in Ciudad Juárez and across all of Mexico.
They have requested a hearing with Mexican president Felipe Calderón in order to deliver the petition which requests continued investigations into the female murders in Juárez, so that the mothers of the murdered women get justice and see that these offences are not left unpunished.
